    • Of all the services offered at veterinary hospitals, surgery tends to make clients the most nervous because of the potential risks of anesthesia and surgery. At our hospital we take every precaution to try and minimize these risks.
      These include:
      • pre-anesthetic blood / urine screens
      • sevoflurane gas anesthetic (the safest anesthetic made at this time)
      • sterile / aseptic surgical suite
      • sterile scrub / cap / mask / and gown for all sterile surgical procedures
      • anesthetic monitoring including pulse oximetry (constantly measures the heart rate and blood oxygen concentration)
      • circulating hot water blanket to keep patients warm
      • sterile surgical packs and sterilizing equipment
      • intravenous (IV) fluid pump
      • cryosurgery (liquid nitrogen freezing of benign lumps)
